Hope has served as Mission Central’s Executive Director since November 2018. Prior to that, she served as Director of Development and Alumni Relations with Harrisburg Area Community College for nearly six years. Her other experience includes working as a Youth Director, Director of Career Development and Program Director. In addition, Hope’s passion for mission was strengthened when she served in the US Peace Corp for two and a half years in the Republic of Georgia.
Hope holds a master’s degree in International Development from American University and a bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice from Penn State. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her three young children, hiking and swimming.
Hope loves the way Mission Central serves all people, no matter where they are or who they are, and she is continually excited to be working at a place that truly makes a difference for so many people.
Director of Development and Communications
Stephanie Titzel is our director of development and communications. She is responsible for Mission Central’s funding and communications activities.
Stephanie is originally from Annapolis, Maryland. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Towson University and a Master of Arts in Public Communication from American University.
She loves her work at Mission Central and is constantly amazed at the reach Mission Central has – over three million people last year, and on an average month, Mission Central assists about 250,000 people. She loves the stories that come from those that receive assistance and feels passionately about our children and school programs.
Open Position: Operations Manager
Mission Central has a position opening for a dynamic individual:
Manage, direct, and implement operations strategies and objectives to ensure the achievement of Mission Central’s goals of mission outreach, disaster response and mission education
Focus for short-term goals are coordinate shipping for Mission Central and ministry partners, maintain warehouse inventory
Maintain mission outreach data for Mission Central and ministry partners
Manage materials requests and allocations, supervise volunteer coordination, and ensure all aspects of volunteer coordination are completed effectively
Focus for long-range goals are to have strategies to manage missional outreach while simultaneously being prepared to respond quickly and efficiently to natural disasters and urgent emergencies both locally and globally
Create and implement a plan to identify the end results of donated goods and identify and establish new relationships with bulk donors
Laurie Whitmyer, Mission Central’s Volunteer Coordinator, loves working with all volunteers, pulling items for our partner organizations and meeting so many wonderful people along the way.
Laurie feels blessed to work at Mission Central. There are a lot of reasons she loves being here but the best reason is feeling and seeing God’s hand in everything we do here.
Laurie grew up in the village of Dellville, located near Duncannon. She is a mother and a “Gammy” and her greatest joy is spending time with her family.
Margi Bradley is our receptionist/administrative assistant, but she does so much more than that. From answering the phones to manage traffic to running our entire medical program, she is admin extraordinaire.
Margi is originally from Harrisburg. She loves her work at Mission Central, and believes, Mission Central is an incredibly unique place. Each day it amazes her what comes in our back door and the way we find homes for it. (She is exceptionally good at that!) Helping others is one of her main goals, and she finds helping folks get medical equipment and supplies (at no cost!) the most rewarding things she does.
Business Administrative Assistant
Cris Mizerak was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Shippensburg University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management. After a few years, she decided to go back to school and obtained an Associates degree in Paralegal Studies from Harrisburg Area Community College. She worked as a Paralegal for PHICO and Gannett Fleming, Inc. in their respective legal departments.
Cris currently resides in Mechanicsburg with her husband, three boys and two dogs. She keeps busy by enjoying time with family and friends, attending her son's various sports activities and reading. She is also currently the Treasurer for the Mechanicsburg Area Senior High School's Cross Country and Track & Field Booster Clubs.
Cris is amazed and feels blessed to work at Mission Central. She loves being part of an organization that is dedicated to helping others.
