Q: When to bring your donation to the Mission Central Warehouse?

A: We accept donations at our Orange Donation Door on the side of the warehouse during our operating hours. Please be sure to check our current schedule before making the trip to see us!

Q: It’s a large facility – where do I go when I arrive?

A: Look for the Orange Donation Door when you arrive!  It’s on the side of our building near the loading dock. Once there, ring the doorbell and a Mission Central team member will help you to unload your car.

Q: I have a lot of items I’m donating – what to do?

A: We’re glad you asked – CALL US! If your donation fills more than an SUV or includes a large quantity of items, please call us ahead of time so we can prepare to receive it, make room in the warehouse, and stretch before you arrive – so we’re ready to help you unload! 

Through a network of partners around the corner and across the world  – we move your donations to those most in need. Below are some of the items Mission Central can accept at our Orange Donation Door.
This is not an exhaustive list, so if you’re unsure if we can accept your donation, please call us. 

• Medical Equipment: Walkers,  Hospital Beds,  Canes, Crutches, – Even Band-Aids or Adult Briefs
• School Supplies (childrens scissors, notebooks, rulers, pencils, crayons, etc)
• Hygiene Items (new soaps, nail clippers, toothpaste, deodorant, etc)
• Clothing (gently used or new in all sizes)
• Shoes (new & gently used)
• Cleaning Supplies
• Nutritional Supplements

New Digs Ministry, one of three in-house partners to Mission Central, operates within the warehouse and accepts furniture, linens, and household item donations.

Please note that Mission Central volunteers cannot accept furniture on their behalf or outside of New Digs operating hours.

You can donate smaller items such as, kitchen tools, plates, dishes, pans, towels, lamps, and home goods during Mission Central operating times.

Furniture must always be in coordination with New Digs volunteers and during their operating hours only. Please visit their website for current furniture donation schedules and guidelines.

Mission Central is also home to another in-house partner, Computer Ministry. This team of volunteers repurpose, recycle, and ‘reuse technology in support of God’s people in a digital world‘.

At our Orange Donation Door you can donate: computers, desktop & laptop, monitors (flat screen only), computer accessories like mice, keyboards, speakers, cables, storage devices, working printers, circuit boards and toner cartridges, and more. They cannot accept televisions or CRT monitors.

Our third in-house partner, Bethesda Mission Food Bank, is periodically accepting donations of non-perishables and canned goods depending on the time of year.

Please check their website for more information on any current drives and to learn about the important work they do to stock the region’s food banks and ensure our neighbors and communities can meet food insecurity and hunger.
