A message from Executive Director, Rob Visscher, regarding recent staff changes and future plans for Mission Central:
I have accepted the resignation of Mr. Brad Biren, who has been serving as the Business and Development Coordinator for Mission Central. We are grateful for the many contributions Brad has made to the work and ministry of Mission Central over his short tenure. His last day with us will be this Friday, August 12, 2016. I wish him well as he moves to a position in alignment with his professional training as an attorney.
As Director, I am always looking for creative ways to staff this mission and ministry and to do it in such a way as to be good stewards of the resources YOU so generously give to Mission Central. Keeping that in mind, we are “reimagining” the staff configuration. Our new strategy will be to split the work that Brad was doing (Business Administration and Development) and create one part-time position (Administration) and one full-time position (Development).
We have already hired one of our eminently qualified volunteers, Donna Fletcher, to join our staff as the part-time Business Administrative Assistant. Donna has joined our team as of this week and is receiving training from Brad. Moving forward, Donna will be responsible for processing all donations, payment invoices and general business office duties.
My next goal is to hire an experienced Director of Development. This person should have a proven track record for successfully generating non-profit operational funding, grants, capital improvement and endowment funding.
