In October, 2011, long-time volunteer Pete LoBianco, had an idea to raise additional money for Mission Central.  He began a Mission Central “store” at his church, Zion UMC, in York, PA.

Pete and his wife, Marty, have utilized a small area in their Sunday School room, finding shelving and donated items, as well as items from Mission Central.  Zion has supported them by publishing notices about what is available and by sending out reminders of their work.

Additionally, Pete and Marty have displayed appropriate items from Mission Central, mostly “summer items” at their home on Long Level.  They’ve set up shelves and have arranged things like Tiki torches, coolers and umbrellas, along with a can marked for donations.

Thank you, Pete and Marty, for all that you do and have done for Mission Central!
