2015 Year in Review: MissionLink December 29, 2015

2015 YiR

Mission Central had a very busy and exciting 2015.  Enjoy these highlights and see how many you shared with us!

We started off the year with a much needed new HVAC system for the warehouse

Mission Central was one of the beneficiaries of the “Taste of the Chamber” in 2015

We were involved in numerous deliveries of UMCOR Kits

We celebrated our annual “Elegance in the Warehouse” fundraiser

Mission Central was quick to respond to urgent needs in Baltimore after the rioting

Our Volunteer of the Year, Marsha Fisher, was announced

The “Unfolding Story” Capital Campaign was launched at Annual Conference

Also at Annual Conference, we participated in an extremely successful shoe drive, where micro-businesses in Africa and around the world received shipments of shoes to sell

We were the recipients of Bishop Parks’ “Bishop’s Partners in Mission” program, receiving $143,000 thanks to YOUR generosity.

With a grant from UMCOR, we were able to purchase a truck, which will be used to service the HUBs and will further help Mission Central’s work

The 1st Annual “Missions in Motion” 5K Race was held.  Over 100 runners participated in a run that started and finished at Mission Central!

Mission Central joined Amazon Smile.  When using Amazon Smile, you use the same account as always, but now a percentage of each purchase goes to Mission Central!

We participated in “Giving Tuesday”, where you donated over $2,000 to Mission Central in 1 day!

A local pastor, Dr. Win Green, wrote a book, with the proceeds marked to benefit Mission Central

Mission Central thanks YOU for another successful year.  We couldn’t accomplish all that we do without your help!  Your donations and volunteer hours help us reach over 2 million lives each year.  Donate now to help us continue our work.  Our story is an unfolding one, with many more chapters to unveil!

Happy 2016!
