Mission Central Celebrates 1st Annual 5K Race: MissionLink November 5, 2015

Mission5K-4This past Saturday, October 31st, Mission Central held the first annual “Missions in Motion” 5K Run.  With the help of many supporters and volunteers, we hosted 105 runners for our inaugural event!

Mission Central would like to send a special “Thank you” to our sponsors, Spencer LeFevre Photography, Cardin & Miller Physical Therapy and Hess, Hanna & Associates.  Also, Giant Foods provided a $100 gift card which was used to supply all of the food and Golden Living Center provided bottled water.

The run began and ended at Mission Central’s parking lot and went through the neighborhoods around our warehouse, including passing by the Susquehanna Annual Conference offices.  Proceeds from the run are used to help with our daily operating expenses.

The warehouse was open for tours and many volunteers and runners found their Halloween “spirit” and wore costumes to help celebrate the event.

We were blessed with beautiful weather and had the great fortune of being able to show many people what Mission Central is all about.  We hope to see all of our runners back for next year and hope to grow this event so that we can share Mission Central with more and more people.
