Don’t Wait. Communicate.
Make Your Emergency Plan Today.
Preparedness is a team effort, 24/7, 365 days a year. In addition to that, each September is a collective opportunity to re-energize, remind and reinforce smart preparedness practices.
September is National Preparedness Month. This year we encourage everyone to take action – make a plan with your community, your family, and for your pets. Plan how to stay safe and communicate during the disasters that can affect your community.
We also encourage everyone to participate in America’s PrepareAthon! and the national day of action, National PrepareAthon! Day, which culminates National Preparedness Month on September 30.
The 2015 National Preparedness Month (NPM) Digital Engagement Toolkit is now available online and for download here. This includes more than twenty pages of tools that will help you communicate preparedness messaging with little more effort than cutting and pasting. The toolkit includes web resources, sample tweets and Facebook messages, weekly themes and tips, videos and public service announcements.
